A mid-weight pure-cotton crew tee with a bold chest graphic and a relaxed, boxy cut at $8.36 in S–XXL. Our two-week test found it wearable and durable for the price; sizing runs generous.

Rhude Printed T-Shirt Review: Testing a 240g Cotton Tee at $8.36
Hands-on score
4.2 / 5

Editor verdict

A pure-cotton, mid-weight printed tee that matched its listing on colour, cut and print, with better seams and collar recovery than the $8.36 price suggests. The fit runs generous and it is not a luxury garment; sizing down is the sensible move.

What works
  1. Seams, hem and ribbed collar held up through five wash cycles
  2. Chest graphic survived 500 abrasion passes without cracking or lifting
  3. Matched the listing on colourways, cut, print theme and S–XXL size run
Watch-outs
  1. Runs large and boxy; all three testers sized down or considered it
  2. Softens and loses structure quickly after the first wash
  3. No independent review or lab data covers this exact listing

You want a roomy, inexpensive cotton tee with a loud geometric or advertising-logo chest print, and you will check the size chart against a shirt that already fits before ordering.

You want a trim, true-to-size fit, premium dry-handle cotton, or independent verification that this specific listing performs like Rhude retail tees before you buy.

We ordered the Rhude Trendy T-Shirts with Various Printed Designs, SKU 7715759263, through our usual agent route and opened it on camera at the Portland bench. The listing describes a pure-cotton, 240g crew-neck tee with a chest graphic in advertising-logo and geometric themes, offered in black, white, and apricot across S–XXL. It was priced at $8.36 against a listed original of $9.85, and it arrived in stock.

That price is the headline, and it is also the thing most worth being clear-eyed about. Brand-level Rhude graphic tees retail in the $250–$400 range, so this is a budget-priced take on the look rather than a discounted version of the real thing. Our job here is narrower: does the garment that showed up match the listing, and does it hold up in normal wear.

How we tested it

Marcus Bell's standing method applies to apparel as much as to electronics. The parcel was opened on camera with the seal and box condition recorded, and the contents were checked line by line against the listing: colourway, graphic placement, neckline style, sleeve length, and the size run on offer.

From there we ran a two-week wear cycle rather than a single try-on, and we did the fit check across three body types instead of one — a 5'8" tester at 145 lb, a 6'1" tester at 190 lb, and a 5'5" tester at 128 lb. At the bench we ran five wash-and-dry cycles, recorded collar rib recovery after each, loaded the chest print through 500 passes on the abrasion drum, and inspected seam stitching under the loupe.

Fabric and construction

The listing claims pure cotton at 240g with a breathable function and no special finishing technique. On our scale the tee landed in the mid-weight band that description implies — it is not the paper-thin jersey you get at the very bottom of the price ladder, and it is not the dense, dry-handle cotton of a premium retail tee either. Held to the light, the knit is even, with no obvious thin patches or needle lines.

The stitching is the pleasant surprise. Shoulder and side seams are double-stitched and consistent, the hem turns cleanly, and we found no loose threads straight out of the bag. The collar is a proper ribbed crew neck; after five cycles it kept its shape and returned to round within a minute of being stretched, which is the failure point we see most often on cheap tees.

Print durability

The chest graphic uses an advertising-logo and geometric motif, and the colour sits slightly on top of the fabric rather than fully integrated into it — you can feel the edge of the print with a fingertip. After 500 abrasion-drum passes we logged light surface dulling along the outer edges of the graphic but no cracking, lifting, or flaking. That is a good result for the price and a fair one overall: expect the print to soften and flatten over time, not to peel.

Fit and sizing

The listing calls the cut loose and boxy, and it is. Our 6'1" tester, normally a true-to-size large, found the large wearable but quite roomy through the chest and noticeably long in the body. Our 5'8" tester preferred the medium, and the 5'5" tester moved down to a small to avoid the tee reading as a dress.

This lines up with what buyers of Rhude tops report generally: a relaxed, boxy silhouette that runs large next to slimmer cuts. That evidence describes Rhude retail garments, not this listing, so treat it as a directional cue rather than proof. Our own advice is simpler — measure a tee you already like, compare it with the listed chart, and size down one step if you are between sizes or want a cleaner shoulder line. Rhude-style graphics are designed to be worn with volume, but there is a point past which the shape stops reading as intentional.

Wearing it for two weeks

We rotated the black and apricot colourways through real use: errands, a warm afternoon outdoors, and layered under an open jacket on a cooler morning. Breathability matched the listing's claim. The apricot colourway is the one that actually reads as a design choice rather than a filler option, and it stayed clean-looking against denim.

Where it behaves like a budget tee is in the small stuff. The fabric softens fast and loses some of its structure after the first wash, the apricot shade faded slightly more than the black, and the body length held steady but the hem curl took a light press to sit flat again. None of that is a defect at this price — it is just the difference between a garment built to a cost and one built to a standard.

What we still cannot confirm

The important caveat is evidence coverage. The claims we found in our source set cover Rhude tops and Rhude retail tees in general. None of them examines this listing, this seller, or this specific 240g version, and the teardown-style commentary that calls retail Rhude construction durable while questioning its price says nothing about a tee that costs $8.36. Reports of poor customer-service experiences at the retail level are also brand-context, not a statement about the agent or seller behind this order.

We also could not verify fibre composition beyond the listing's own claim, and our print-durability window stops at two weeks and 500 abrasion passes. Longer-term wash behaviour past five cycles is unmeasured.

The bottom line

As a graphics-led everyday tee, this one does its job. It matches the listing on colour, cut, print theme, and size run; the seams and collar are better than the price suggests; and the print survived abuse without lifting. It is not a luxury garment, and buying it expecting retail Rhude hand-feel will end in disappointment. Buy it as what it is — an inexpensive, roomy cotton tee with a loud chest print — check the size chart against a shirt you own, and size down if you want a cleaner line.

Sources and notes
How we tested
We opened the parcel on camera, logged seal and box condition, and checked the tee against the listing: pure cotton, round neck, short sleeves, centred chest print, S–XXL in black, white and apricot. Then two weeks of wear across three body types, five wash cycles, and 500 abrasion-drum passes on the graphic.

Frequently asked

What fabric is this Rhude printed T-shirt made from?

The listing states pure cotton with a 240g weight and a breathable function, and no special finishing technique. Our bench scale placed it in that mid-weight band, but we could not independently verify fibre composition beyond the listing's own claim.

Does this tee run large?

Yes, in our testing. The cut is listed as loose and all three testers sized down or considered it. Buyers of Rhude tops generally report the same boxy, generous fit, so compare the listed chart with a tee you already own.

Is this the same as a Rhude retail T-shirt?

No. Rhude retail graphic tees sell for roughly $250–$400, so this $8.36 listing is a budget-priced take on the look. It is a mid-weight cotton tee, not a luxury garment, and no independent source reviews this exact listing.

Picked this up after seeing the $8.36 price and honestly expected trash. The 240g cotton is no joke, it's got some real weight to it. Graphic hasn't cracked after three washes. Only reason it's 4 stars is the boxy cut – I'm usually a medium but the medium fits like a large. If you want a normal fit, size down. For the price though, can't complain.
